PUBLIC HEALTH (FOOD) ORDINANCE, 1935.
(ORDINANCE No. 13 of 1935.)
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Health (Food) Ordinance, 1935, the Urban Council amends the by-laws under the heading "Markets" set forth in the Schedule to the said Ordinance as follows :—
AMENDMENTS
1. By-law 9 is rescinded and the following is substituted therefor as by-law -
"Letting
Council.
9. (1) All stalls shall be let by the Council without of stalls by fine or premium, from month to month, al & rent to be ascertained by sealed tender; but the Council shail not be bound to accept the highest or any tender. No person under the age of 18 years shall be eligible to tender or be accepted as a lessee or joint lessee of a stall.
(2) If a market is closed by the Council, the Council may in its discretion reserve and allot to lessees of the closed market stalls in any other market.
(3) The Council may, if satisfied that such a course is equitable to the persons concerned, include the names of several persons not exceeding four in number as joint lessses of a stall.
(4) Stalls shall be used for the retail sale (unless otherwise decided by the Council) of specified commodities."
2. By-law 12 is rescinded and the following is substituted therefor as by-law 12-
"Change of lessee.
12. The Council shall on the death or retirement from old age or other cause of a lessee or joint lessee cause his name and photograph to be deleted from the
