Section 40 is repealed and replaced by the following-
"40. The provisions of this Ordinance shall extend to New Kowloon and to any other land exempted from Part 1 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance, 1910, notwithstanding anything contained in that Ordinance."
Section 23 is amended by the deletion of the words "twenty-five cents' in the second line and in the eighth line of subsection (3) and the substitution Therefor of the following--
one dollar "*.

(2) Section 25 is repealed and replaced by the
following
"25. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council to make regulations as to the fees to be taken by the Registrar.

Section z is amended by the deletion of the words "not propelled by steam" in the fourth line thereof and substitution therefor of the following-

(0) Section 4 is amended by the repeal of para- graph (12) and the substitution therefor of the following-
"((a) all officers, warrant officers and non-commissioned officers of the Hong Kong Defence Force, and also such other members of the said Force as shall have been exempted from jury service by the Governor in Council.''
(2) Section 7 is amended by the deletion of the words "shall not exceed sixty** in the second line of subsection (3) and the substitution therefor of the following-
*shall not exceed one hundred and fifty", (3) Section 10 is amended by the deletion in the second line and in the fifth and sixth lines of subsection (1) of the words "or a Deputy Registrar'
(4) Section 27 is amended by the deletion of the words "good and lawful men" in the fourth line and the substitution therefor of the following--
