Ordinance, 1949. (No. 15 of 1949.)

(1) Section 17.

(2) Section 19.

(3) Section 24.

(1) Section 17 is amended-

(a) by the addition after the words "deliver

up" in the third line of subsection (1) of the following-

"the certificate of identity issued to him under section 13 and";

(b) by the addition after the word "such" in the first line of subsection (2) of the following-

"certificate or"".

(2) Section 19 is amended-

(a) by the repeal of paragraph (b) and the substitution therefor of the following- **(k) unlawful or unnecessary exer- cise of authority resulting in loss or injury to any other person or to Government;"

(b) by the deletion of the words "and in such case he may be ordered to resign forthwith in which case he shall not receive salary in lieu of notice" at the end thereof and the substitution therefor of the following-

"or he may be ordered to resign forthwith and if he fails so to do may be dismissed, and in the case of such dismissal or such resigna- tion he shall not receive salary in lieu of notice*.

(3) Section 24 is amended by the deletion of the word "taking" in the third line and the sub- stitution therefor of the word "verifying".

(4) The Schedule is amended by the deletion of the word "Schedule" where it first appears and the repeal of the forms of "Oath of Office" and “Declaration of Office" and the substitu- tion therefor of the following-

"FIRST SCHEDULE.
