THE DEFENCE (FINANCE) REGULATIONS, 1940.
In pursuance of regulation 1(1) of the Defence (Finance) Regulations, 1940, which have effect by virtue of the Defence Regulations (Continuation Modification) (No. 1) Order, 1948, the Governor has made the following

ORDER.
1. This order may be cited as the Dealing in Gold Order, 1949.
2 Permission is hereby granted to the persons specified in the First Calcan of the Schedule hereto to sell to the persons specified in the Second Calama of the Schedule bereto and for the latter to buy from the former- pobl of the description respectively appearing in the Third Column of the Schedule bereto in a quantity not exceeding in the aggregate that specified the Fourth Column of the Schedule hereto ou the day or other occasion therein specified.
3. The permission granted to any such person as aforesaid is valid waly if and so long as the respective onaditions specified in the Fifth Column of the Sebedule hereto are observed.

SCITEDULE.
Description of Gold.
Gold whether made into the form of articles or not being of the Aneness of 95% or upwards.
Quantity of Gold,
Conditions.
Not more than 10 troy ozs, at one time.
The purchaser shall within 48 hours notify the Financial Secretary in writing of the fact that he has purchased the gold stating the price paid. The purchaser shall not part with the mold otherwise than in the normal discharge of his profession.
