THE POST OFFICE (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1948.

Order by the Governor in Council

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Post Office Ordinance, 1924, as amended by the Post Office (Ameodmont) Ordinance, 1948, the Governor in Council hereby makes the following order -

OHDEE.

1. This Order may be cited as the Post Office Local Rates Order, 1949, and shall come into force on the 1st of April, 1949.

2. The rate of postage to a place in the Colony shall in the case of latters he 10 cents for each ounce or part of an ounce and in the case of post-cards be 6 cents.

8. Hate No. 1 in Government Notification No. 1093 published in the Gazette of 12th September, 1941, is hereby amended accordingly.
