An Ordinance to amend the Magistrates Ordinance, 1983.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof;

7. This Ordinance may be cited as the Magistrates (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance, 1949, and shall be read as one with the Magistrates Ordinance, 1982, hereinafter referred to as the principel Ordinance.

2. The following interpretation shall be substituted for the inter. Amendment pretation given to the term "magistrate" in the principal Ordinance ;- of section a

3. The following section is hereby substituted for section 5 of Sobeditation the principal Ordinanes :-
