An Ordinance to amend the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Merchant Shipping Short tide, (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance, 1949, and shall be read as one Ordinance with the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, hereinafter referred No. 1o of fo as the principal Ordinance.

2. The second proviso to sub-section (3) of section 4 is Amendmcor hereby deleted.

Sub-section (3) of section 28 of the principal Ordinance Amendment is hereby amended by the deletion of the words "of like descrip- of secriou ab tion" occurring in the first and second lings thereof,
