Be it enacted by the Govenor of Hong Kong, with the advics and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Companies Amend- Short title. ment Ordinance, 1949, and shall be read as one with the Companies Ordinance Ordinance, 1932, harcinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance. No. 35 of

1932.

2. Sub-section (2) of section 2 of the principal Ordinance Repeal of sub- is hereby repealed.
