Au Ordinance to provide for the re-vesting in the former owners of certain land in the region of Ping Shan resumed during the period of the British Military Administration, and for the payment of compensation in certain cases in respect of the user thereof.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof :
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Lande (Fing Shan) Short Title, Ile-vesting Ordinance, 1948.
2. In this Ordinance-
(1) Board"
means the Board of Arbitration appointed ander section 8 of this Ordinance.

(2) former owners means...ARE
Interpretation.
(a) in respect of each portion of land referred to in fint the First Schedule to this Ordinance the persons who were legally Schedule. entitled thereto immediately prior to resumption thereof by the Crown pursuant to Notification (hereinafter referred to as the First Notification) of the British Military Administration dated 22nd October 1945 and published at page 25 in the Hong Kong (British Military Administration) Garette of 31st October, 1945;
(b) in respect of each portion of land referred to in Second the Second Schedule to this Ordinance the persons who were Schedule. legally entitled thereto immediately prior to resumption thereof by the Crown pursuant to Notification (hereinafter referred to as the Second Notification) of the British Military Administration dated 20th March 1948 and published at page 229 in the Hoog
