An Ordinance to amend the Magistrates Ordinance, 1932.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Magistrates Bhort sitio, Amendment Ordinance, 1947, and shall be read as one with
the Magistrates Ordinance, 1982, hereinafter referred to a9 the principal Ordinance.
Ord. No. 41 of 1832.
2. Section 89 of the principal Ordinance is hereby Repeal and repealed and replaced as follows :-
**Blogging, Ord. No. 32, of 1936.
89. Whenever any male offender is convicted "by a Magistrate under section 26 of the Larceny Ordinance, 1935, of stealing any ornament or other chattel from the person of any woman or child, the Magistrate may, in addition to the punishment awarded for such offence, direct that the offender be flogged.'
