An Ordinance to amend the Hong Kong Dollar Loun Ordinance, 1944, to provide for the redemption of bonds due for redemption in past yeura.

Be it cuscled by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance roay he cited as the Hong Kong Short title. Dollar Loan Amendment Ordinance, 1947.
2. Section 5 of the Hong Kong Dollar Loan Ordinance, Amendment 1934, is hereby amendel-
(a) by the deletion of the word "Treasurer" wherever it occurs in the section and by the substitution therefor of the words "Accountant General".
(b) by the addition at the end thereof of the following sub-sections as sub-sections 10, 11 and 13
(10) In the year 1947 there shall be redeemed, in addition to the bonds redeemable for that year in accordance with sub-section (2), the bonds which in accordance with that sub-section should have been redeemed in the years 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945 and 1946, that is to say, an additional one-fifth of each issue.
(11) The redemption directed by the preced- ing sub-section shall be effected at the time and in the manner and upon the conditions prescribed by sub-sections (2) to (8) (both inclusive) of this section and may be effected contemporaneously with the redemption prescribed for 1947 by sub-section (2) hereof.
