An Ordinance to amend further the Pensions Ordinance,
1932.

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordiowoce may be cited as the Pensions Short title. Amendment Ordinance, 1947.
2. Section 2 of the Pensions Ordinance, 1932, as enacted by Section 4 of the Pensions Amandment Ordinance, 1984, is hereby amended by the addition after sub-section 2 thereof, of the following sib-sections :--
(8) Whenever the Governor in Council is satisfied that it is equitable that any regulation made under this section should have retrospective effect in order to confer a benefit upon or remove a disability attaching to any person that regulation may be given retrospective effect for that purpose: Provided that no such regulation shall have retrospective effect unless it has received the prior approval of the Legislative Council signified by resolution.
(4) Any pension or gratuity granted to any officer under this Ordinance shall be computed in accordance with the provisions relating to such officer which are in force at the actual date of bis retirement.
