Questions.
The Honourable Mr. Lo Man-kam, c.B.B., pursuant to notice, will ask the
following question :-
(a) Is it the fact that many applications have been received by Govern- ment from or on behalf of persons who were born in the Calorry and whose births were duly registered with the Registrar of Birtlis and Deaths, but the registers were lost as the result of the Japanese occupation, for the issue of new birth certificates?
(b) Is it the fact that the Government's replies to such applications have been to the effect that Government has no authority to re-register such births and that the question of re-registration is still under consideration?
(c) How long has the question of re-registration been under consideration
and when will a decision be announced?
(d) Will Government make a statement on the position generally 7

A Bill intituled "An Ordinance to remove doubts as to the validity of certain Decrees granted in the Colony for the dissolution of a marriage."
The Attorney General to move the Second and Third readings of :-
A Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amend the Summary Offences Ordin-
ance, 1982.**
A Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amend the Arma and Atomunition
Ordinance, 1983.**
