An Ordinance to make better provision for the safety of places
declared to be protected places.,

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Protected Places bort title. (Safety) Ordinance, 1948, and shall come into force on such day as the Governor may by Proclamation in the Gazette Commence- specify.
2. In this Ordinance-
Authorised Guard "
means any person authorised by the Governor to discharge duty as a guard or sentry in at or over a protected place;
Protected Place means any premises declared by any order of the Governor for the time being in force to be a protected place under Regulation 82 of the Defence Regulations 1940 es modified by the Emergency Powers (Extension) Proclamation.
