An Ordinance to enable the Governor-in-Council to provide for the observance of Summer Time.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows:

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Summer Time Show T'Illa. Ordinance, 1946.

2. (1) It shall be lawful for the Governor in Council Phe Governor in any year :

(a) to order that Summer Time shall be observed as from 3.30 a.m. on a day specified in such Order being a day not earlier than the 1st of April;

(b) by any Order in which Summer Time has been ordered to be observed or by subsequent Order to order that Summer Time shall cease to be observed as fromm 8.30 a.m. Standard Time on a day specified in such Order, being a day not later than the 1st of December.

(2) If in any year in which an Order has been made under paragraph (a) of sub-section (1) hereof no day haa, before the 30th of Noverober in such year, been specified as the time from which Sumuner Time shall cease to be observed, then Standard Time shall be observed as from 3.30 a.m. Standard Time on the Lat of December in such year.

(3) During the year 1946 this Ordinance shall be construed and take effect as if the Governor in Council bad by Order under paragraph (a) of sub-section (1) hereof specified 3.30 am. on the 21st of April as the time from which Summer Time should be observed.
