An Ordinance to amend the Merchant Shipping Ordinance,

1899.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Merchant Ship- shot Title. ping Amendment Ordinance, 1946.

2. The Merchant amended as follows :---

Shipping Ordinance, 1899, is Acendment

of Penalties.

In Sec. 5. Sub-sec. 7(8), lines 3 & 4

In Sec. 10, Sub-sec. 25, Lines 7 & 8

and in line 9

In Sec. 26, Sub-sec. 1, line 30

In Sec. 38, Sub-sec. 3, Lines 4 & 5

the words "twenty five" and Svetive 6. "one" are deleted and the

words "one hundred" and "three" substituted therefor respectively.

the words "two hundred" and Section 10. "five" are deleted and the words "five hundred" and "twenty five" substituted therefor respectively.

the full stop is deleted and after the word "allowed" the words "and to imprisonment for any term not exceeding six months' are added.

the word "fifty" is deleted Section 26. and the words "two hundred" substituted therefor.

the words "two hundred and Section 38. fifty" and "five" are deleted

and the words "Ave hundred"

and "twenty five" substituted

therefor respectively.
