ORDER FOR SURRENDER TO RECOGNISED DELEGATE THE CHINESE COLLABORATORS (SURRENDER) ORDINANCE, 1846

[20th June, 1946.]

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong with the advice and con- sent of the Legislative Council therent as follows:

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank (Amend- ment) Ordinance, 1946. It shall corne into operation on the day on which the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation (Re-Transfer) Order in Council 1945 is brought into operation by Proclamation under Section 5 thereof.

The Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank Ordinance and the Regulations thereof shall take effect subject to the amendments. modifications and exceptions set out as to the Ordinance in Part I and as to the Regulations in Part II of the Schedule hereto.

PART I

In Section (2) (g) there shall be added the following expression and the definition assigned to it:--

"Acting Chief Manager" means the person for the time being performing the duties of Acting Chief Manager of the Bank.

In sub-section (1) and sub-section (3) of Section 11 the figures 48,000,000 shall be substituted for the figures 30,000,000,

PART II.

Regulation 11 shall be replaced as follows:-

"The certificates of title to shares on the principal register shall be under the common seal and shall be signed by one director and counter- signed by the Chief Manager or by such other officer of the Bank as may be authorised to do so by the Board. Such certificates shall, unless otherwise prescribed by the Board, be in the form in Appendix I to these Regulations or to the like effect."
