Whereas the office of the District Officer for the Southern District of the New Territories has been moved from the building known as "The Government Offices** situate in Pedder Street, Victoria, în this Colony, to the first floor of the building known as St. George's Building, at the corner of Chuter Road and Ice House Street, Victoria aforesaid. and it is expedient that the present office should be appointed and declared to be a court-house for all purposes and functions of a magistrate :
And Whereas it is convenient (without prejudice to any previous proclamation, notification or authorization) that all the court-houses of magistrates in this Colony should be included in this proclamation:
Now therefore I Sir WILLIAM PEEL. Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice- Admiral of the same, do hereby appoint the following several places as Court-houses where a magistrate may sit to hear and try and determine and deal with complaints and informa- tions and other matters to he heard and tried and determined and dealt with by him as a magistrate in an open court. including, where the magistrate is authorised for the purpose. the holding of a Small Debts Court as mentioned in section 53 of the New Territories Regulation Ordinance. 1910.
