PROCLAMATION.

Governor

By His Excellency Sir WILLIAM L'EEL, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same.

WHEREAS by section 49 of the Divorce Ordinance, 1932, (Ordinance No. 35 of 1932), it is provided that the said Ordinance shall not come into operation unless and until the Governor notifies by Proclamation that it is His Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the sume and that thereafter it shall come into operation upon such day as the Governor shall notify by the same or any other Proclamation:

AND WHEREAS by section 8 of the Divorce Amend- ment Ordinance, 1933, (Ordinance No. 9 of 1938), it is provided that that Ordinance shall be read and construed as one with, and shall come into operation at the same time as, the Divorce Ordinance. 1992, which it amends and which shall not be brought into operation by Proclamation until His Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the said Divorce Amendment Ordinance, 1933, îs known :

NOW 1, the said Sir WILLIAM PEEL, do hereby notify that it is His Majesty's pleasure not to lisallow either of the said Ordinances (No. 35 of 1932, and No. 9 of 1933) and that the said Ordinances shall come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1933.
