PROCLAMATION,
By His Excellency Sir WILLIAM PERL, Kaight Commander of the Most Distin guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the serne.
Whereas by the fourth section of the Merchant Shipping Amendment Ordinance, 1931, (Ordinance No. 5 of 1931), it is provided that the said Ordinance shall not come into operation unless and util the Governor notifies by Proclamation that it is His Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the same and that thereafter it shall come into opera- tion upon such day as the Governor shall notify by the same or any other Proclamation:
Now 1, the said Sir WILLIAM Past, do beroby notify and proclaim that it is tis Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the said Ordinanco and that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on the 31st day of July, 1931.
