Aul Whereas the sail period of three months will expire on the 3rd day of May 1917 Now therefore I Sir FRANCIS HENRY MAY Kaight Commander of the Most Distin- guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same being of opinion that the necessity of His Majesty's forces in the Colony being subject to the said "Act continues do hereby declare that by reason of the imminence of active service it is necessary for the public service that His Majesty's forces in this Colony be subject to the said Act for the further period of three months from and after the 3rd day of May 1917.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria Hongkong this 2nd day of May 1917.
