Aud Whereas by a Proclamation made on the 2nd day of February 1916 the said declaration was renewed for a period of three months from the 3rd day of February 1916:

And Whereas the said period of three months will expire on the 3rd day of May 1916 Now therefore I Sir TRANCIS HENRY May Knight Commander of the Most Distin- guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same being of opinion that the necessity of His Majesty's forces in the Colony being anbject to the said Act continues do hereby declare that by reason of the imminence of active service it is necessary for the public service that His Majesty's forces in this Colouy be subject to the said Act for the farther period of three months from and after the 3rd day of May 1916.

Given muster my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria Hongkong this 2nd day of May 1916.
