By His Excellency Sir FREDERICK Joux DEALTHY Lægaro, Kuight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael mud Saint George, Coimpnution of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same.

Wheres, by Regulation No. 1 of the Quarurine Regulations mule by the Governor in Council on the 17th day of Jane, 1901, auter section 23 of Ordinance No. 10 of 1890, it is provided that the term "port or place at which any infections or contagious disease prevailed" means a port or place prochimed to be anch by Order of the Governor in Commeil, published in the ricette, from thệ date of such Proclamation ;

And whereas the said Quarantine Regulations were duly notified to take effect as from the 20th day of June, 1901 :

And whereas His Excellency the Governor in Council has orderel that Shanghai should be proclaimed as a port or place at which an infectious or contagious disease prevnits ;

Now, therefore, 1, Sir FunDERICK Jons Drantry Lrroan, Knight Communer of the Most Distinguished Oeder of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Hanonable Order of the Bath, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong at its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, do hereby, with the avion of the Executive Council, prochim Shanghai as a port or place at which in infectious or contagious disense prevails.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, at Victorin, Hongkong, this 2nd day of September, 1907.
