PROCLAMATION.

Gorernor,

By His Excellency Sir MATTHEW NATHAN, Knight Commander of the Most Dis- tinguished Order of Suint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.

Whereas, by Regulation No. 1 of the Quarantine Regulations made by the Governor in Council on the 17th day of June, 1901, under section 23 of Ordinance No. 10 of 1899, it is provided that the term "* port or place at which any infectious ne contagious disease prevailed mens a port or place proclaimed to be such by Owler of the invernor in Council, published in the tintede, from the date of such Proclamation ;

And whezens the mid Quumutine Regulations were duly notified to take offer as From the 20th day of June, 1901 ;

And whereas His Excellency the Governor in Council has ordered that Manila should be proclaimed as a part or place it which an infections or contagious discuse prevails ;

Now, therefore, 1, Sir Matthew Karnas, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor mul Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong rund its Dependencies, and Vice-Aduiml of the same, do hereby, with the advice of the Executive Coqucil, proclaim that Manila is a port or place at which an infectious or contagious lisense prevails,

Given under my hand and the Public Sead of the Colony, at Victoris, Hongkong, this 17th day of July, 1900,
