By His Excellency Sir HENRY Auraun Brass, Knight Grand Cross of the Mosa Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong- kong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas by Ordinance No. 8 of 1862, cutitled Au Ordinance to authorize His Excellency the Governor by Proclamation to prohibit the Exportation of Military Stores and other Articles, as amended by Oralinance No. 3 of 1884, entitled An Orlinamos to unel Doliuance 3 of 1802, it is cunctaal that it should be lawful for His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice of the Executive Commeil, by Proclamation to be published in das Hongkong Government Gusente or in any Extraor linary fizetre, to prohibit, for such period as should be mentioned in such Proclamation, either to lat exported from clie Colony of Hongkong, or to be carried coastwise within the said Colony (amongst other things) Arms, Ammunition, tranpowder, and Military and Naval Stores, and any articles which His Excellency uszy judge empable of being converted into or maile useful in increasing the quantity of Military or Naval Stores, or any or either of such Arins, Anumunition, Gunpowder, Stores, Gonde Por Articles respectively, subject to any permission that may be obtained under the last mentioned

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hexy AæruER BLAKE, Knight Grad Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-thief of the Colony of Hong- kong and is Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of this Colony, do, by this Proclamation, prohibit for a further period of six mouths from and cind the 28th day of November, 190%, either to be exported from the Colony of Hongkong on to la currió quastwise within the said Colony, Arms, Ammunition, Gunpowder, and Military Stores, mugl ang articles which I may judge capable of being converted into or manda useful in increasing the quantity of Military or Naval Stores, or any or either of such Arrus, Ammunition, Gunpowder, Stores, Goods or Articles respectively, unless this Proclamation shall, in the meantime, be revőkert, oë unless permission shall have been obtainal under Ordinance No. 3 of 1884.
