PROCLAMATION.
Major-General,
Ufficer Administefing the Government.
By His Excellency Major-General Wnanse Black, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Officer Administering the Government, and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong- kong and its Dependencies, und Vice-Admiral of the sainc.
Whereas, by Proclamation dated the 9th April. 1898, under Regulation No. 1 of the Quarantine Regulations made by the Governor in Council où the 18th day of March, 1897, under section 25 of Ordinance No: 26 of 1891, the ports of Canton, Whampoo, and Macao were proclaimed by the Governor in Council to be ports or places at which an infections or contagious disease prevails.
And, whereas it is expedient to revoke such Proclamation in respect of the said ports of Canton, Whampoa, and Macan.
Now, therefore, 1, Major-General Wilsone Black, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Officer Administering the Government, and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, do, hereby, with the advice of the Executive Council, revoke the said Proclama. sion in respect of the ports of Canton, Whanipoa, and Macao with effect from this date.
