Tenders for two water pumping stations

The Water Supplies Department is inviting tenders for two water works projects in the Mid-Levels of Hong Kong and in Tseung Kwan O.

The first project relates to the construction of the New Albany Fresh Water Pumping Station Extension and associated works.

When completed, now scheduled in early 1998, it will improve the water supply to the mid-level and high-level areas on the Hong Kong Island.

The Tseung Kwan O project involves the construction of a salt water pumping station and the laying of about 600 metres of fresh watermains and 660 metres of salt watermains in Tseung Kwan O New Town.

It is part of a programme to improve the Tseung Kwan O to meet the increasing demand. completion in 18 months.
