AREA IN SHEUNG WAN TO BE REDEVELOPED
IN SHEUNG
A SMALL AREA OF DILAPIDATED TENEMENTS AND WORKSHOPS WAN IS TO BE REDEVELOPED INTO A MODERN RESIDENTIAL BUILDING WITH LOWER FLOOR COMMERCIAL UNITS.
REDEVELOPMENT OF THE 450 SQUARE METRE SITE WILL BE CARRIED OUT BY THE HONG KONG HOUSING SOCIETY AS ONE OF ITS URBAN IMPROVEMENTS SCHEME PROJECTS.
WHEN THE SCHEME IS COMPLETED IN 1992, IT WILL PROVIDE 69 DOMESTIC UNITS FOR SALE, A LANDSCAPED PODIUM FOR THE USE OF FUTURE RESIDENTS AND ABOUT 350 SQUARE METRES OF COMMERCIAL FLOOR SPACE.
THE PROJECT IS SEEN AS AN IMPORTANT AND REVITALISING A PORTION OF SHEUNG WAN.

THOSE TENANTS GENUINELY AFFECTED WHO ARE REHOUSING WILL BE REHOUSED IN EXISTING RENTAL ESTATES OF THE HONG AT KONG HOUSING SOCIETY OR, ALTERNATIVELY, THEY CAN ELECT TO PURCHASE A DISCOUNT A FLAT IN ONE OF THE HOUSING
URBAN IMPROVEMENT SCHEME DEVELOPMENTS.

RESUMPTION NOTICES WERE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE TODAY.
THE LOTS WILL REVERT TO THE GOVERNMENT ON THE EXPIRY MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE POSTING OF NOTICES ON THE LOTS.
