Miss Mayreen FOOK
Miss Fook first joined the Government service as a
Secretary/Stenographer Class II in 1959. She has been the
Chief Justice's Personal Secretary since 1962 and has performed her duties to the satisfaction of the various Chief Justices
for whom she has worked. The job as a Personal Assistant to
the Chief Justice is demanding, as the Chief Justice has many
ceremonial and other responsibilities in addition to his normal day-to-day work. These responsibilities cannot be properly discharged without the assistance of a personal secretary of the highest quality.
Mr. KAM Woon-pok
Mr. Kam joined the Immigration Department in 1962.
From August 1979 to September 1980 he worked at the Macau Ferry Terminal. Conditions were difficult and pressure of work on the staff was exceptionally heavy. During this period Mr. Kam set an excellent example of willingness to undertake
additional duties and helpfulness to his colleagues and supervisors.
Mr. LAI Chong
Mr. LAI Chong joined the Civil Service in 1956 as a
Sanitary Coolie in the Urban Services Department. Since then,
he has obtained promotion to Senior Foreman in the Cleansing
Section of the Kwun Tong Urban Services District Office. His
devotion to duty and loyalty to the Department over the 24 years
have been exemplary. He has demonstrated his ability to assume the full range of supervisory responsibilities and has exerted
a very significant influence on the staff of his section,
Mr. Lai gets through a lot of work and always maintains a high
standard of performance.
