I have no doubt that the Governor of Hong Kong would very much like to have a copy of the brief in its final form. He ought to know, in any case, what is said in it about the financial negotiations with Hong Kong on page 85. Would you see any objection to his having the brief in full, and if not could you let me have a copy for this purpose, when it is in its final form?
I notice that in Nanking telegram No.1000 of the 11th September the presumption is made that the Delegation will be flown in their special aircraft Ĉ to Hong Kong on the 6th November. We should be glad
to know whether this is confirmed and also whether the Delegation will be staying over-night in Hong Kong, so that we can tell the Governor of Hong Kong.
Yours sincerely,
Sgd (N.L. Mayle)
