Chinese Government were planning to send specially chartered aircraft to Hong Kong to bring British parliamentary delegation to Nanking on October 6th Ministry of Foreign Affairs tell us this morning however that Government are unable to do so for economy reasons. They are planning to book seats for members of the delegation on ordinary C.N.A. C. service to Nanking on that day but would if we preferred grant clearance for R. A. F. aircraft.
2. I think it preferable in the circumstances for them to come by R... F. and hope this can be arranged, If so please telograph as soon as possible number and call sign of aircraft in order to enable us to obtain clearance. Hinistry of Foreign Affairs assured us that there would be no difficulty.
