Immigrants Control Ordinance.
I attach a note prepared by my Legal Adviser raising a number of additional points revealed as a result of further examination of the Immigrants Control Ordinance, 1949.
It is of course realised that some of these points concern provisions of the Ordinance which it might be inconvenient or embarrassing to amend in present circumstances in Hong Kong and that consideration of the suggestions made may therefore have to be deferred for the time being.
