First Class passages are providcă in accordance with Colonial Regulation 1. An officer may be required to travel by air when on duty, or when procceding to or from leave. The normal tour is 4 years, but for an officer with 10 years colonial service and over the age of 40, the tour is 3 years. The normal leave rate is one day for every seven days resident service, but for an officer with 10 years colonial servic、 and over the age of 49, the leave rate is 2 days for every 11 days resident service. Local leave is also granted.

The officer will be on agreement for a period of three years, after which, if there is a suitable vacancy and his services have been satisfactory, he may be offered appointment to the pensionable establishment.
