24. During such time as this Proclamation remains
in force no rates shall be levied under the
provisions of the Rating Ordinance, 1901: Provided
that nothing in this Proclamation shall operate
to relieve any person from any obligation,
liability, right of re-entry by the Crown or any
other penalty or forfeiture incurred or accrued
by reason of any default in payment of any rates
payable under the said Ordinance before this
Proclamation came into force.
