I. CHINESE IMIGRATION INTO HONGKONG.

BRANCH PASSI ORT O FICES ESTABLISHUND IN KWONGTUNG PROVINCE FOR ISSUING PASSPORTS.

Extract from Translation.

"After the en ctment of the Immigration Laws in Hongkong the government of Kwongtung Province requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Chungking to negotiate with the Hongkong government to allow Chinese people to come into Hongkong with passports from the Chinese Government, without a visa from the British Consulate.

For the convenience of the people, the Kwongtung Provincial Government has established four stations for issuing passports to Hongkong. They are in Shaokwan, Hingning, Kwangchouwan and Shangsha."
