Hongkong' 's Financial Position.
The present Hongkong Government does not allow my family to stay in the city. The reason is that the unemployed and those who have no men in the family are being forced to leave Hongkong immediately. From the 23rd July the ratio of four Hongkong Currency notes to one Japanese military note is in current use. The merchants have therefore increased the price of all commodities in Hongkong by one half. Hongkong is now no longer a place suitable for habitation. Recently WANG'S puppet Government has issued a Currency note called the Central Savings Certificate
Two National dollarsare equal to one C.S.C. In Japanese Occupied territory, Chinese National Currency dollars are not allowed to be used. The finding of such notes results in confiscation. No foreign remittances are allowed, therefore people who depend on foreign
