Following from Northcote repeated to Officer Administering the Goverment of Hong Hong begina. In view of existing circumstances I propose to stay for while in Ceylon whence return to Hong Kong can be made quickly in case of need. But if you prefer that I should go through to England I will do so willingly. In the latter case please telegraph me en clair care of Agent of P. D. Company OTTIósa 30 as to reach me by noon local time Saturday ends.
