IX. Resolved that the recommendations contained in these chapters be referred to the Senate for consideration and report.

Chapter X. Resolved that the Finance Committee be asked to

consider the feasibility of financing, in whole or in part, the recommendations of the Committee for increased recurring expenditure on the Libraries.

Chapter XI

Endorsed the Chancellor's proposal to appoint a competent committee to consider the recommendations made by the Committee that the University be removed to ano ther site the personnel of the Committee being as follows:-

Professor L. T. Ride

H. J. rearce, Esq.

H. West, Esq.

L. W. Amps, Esq.

S. V. Boxer, Esq. (Secretary)

It was decided that the terms of reference should be settled in consultation with Mr. Morse, who was due to arrive in the Colony on 30th June, 1939.

The question whether, pending the issue of this Committee's re ort, the proposed building schemes for the provision of new science laboratories and Staff flats should be proceeded with, was closelydebated, it being finally decided by 12 votes to 3, that these projects should be proceeded with in view of the fact that the buildings are ur ently needed and that many years must of necessity elapse before the removal scheme, if accepted, could be carried out.
