The outbreaks of cholera and smallpox
The Public
during the last three years have shown the need for further provision for the accommodation of people suffering from infectious diseases. This can only be done by building a new hospital. Health Centres already established have proved a
great success, and provision is made in the
Estimates for three more. These Centres, in
addition to providing a dispensary service for the
sick, also serve as child welfare and ante-natal
clinics. The increased expenditure of the
Department is, in my opinion, fully justified.
We should ask for copies of the Technical
Hospital Committee Report.
