I hope everything flourishes with you
and that the change of weather, which must now
be due, is not causing you or your family too
much distress. Please give my kindest regards
to them.
The Treasury is engaged with discussions
with the Admiralty about increased remuneration
for Admiralty staff in Hong Kong, and it was for
them that we asked you in our telegram No. 34 of
the 14th of February for the Butterfield and Swires
cost of living figures at certain dates. They now
tell us that it would be of interest to them if
they could be furnished with such figures quarterly
as they are compiled by Butterfields, who, I
understand,
