Council may, on such conditions

as He thinks fit, authorise the

Admiralty to accept any offer made

by the Government of a colony to

place at His Majesty's disposal for

general service in the Royal Navy,

vessels of war maintained, or

officers or men of such force

as aforesaid raised by the colony:

AND WHEREAS by the Naval

Volunteer Ordinance, 1933, of the

Legislature of the Colony of Hong

Kong (hereinafter referred to as

"the Legislature") provision has

been made for raising a force for

the Naval Defence of Hong Kong

called the Hong Kong Naval

Volunteer Force (hereinafter

referred to as "the Force"):

NOW, THEREFORE, His Majesty,

in exercise of the powers vested in

Him by the above recited provisions,
