(British).
Enquiry has been made at the Immigration Department
for the Goverment of Canada, Oceanic House, Ia, Cockspur Street,
S.W.I., and the records of that department show that in the year
1927 Reginald Redvers LOCK and his wife went to Canada as farm
workers under a scheme authorised by the Canadian Government.
About 2 years later owing to a trade slump LOCK
was thrown out of employment and therefore became chargeable to
the public funds.
As a result of this he and his wife were
repatriated to this country at the expense of the Canadian
Government and arrived at Liverpool on IIth, January, 1930, on the
s.s. Montrose".
Since this time nothing has been heard of
LOCK and his present whereabouts are unknown.
Nothing is known of the subject of this enquiry at
Canada House, Trafalgar Square, S.W.I.
Respectfully submitted for the information of the
Under Secretary of State, Home Office, Whitehall, S.W.I.
