AND BE IT REMEMBERED that His Majesty's Secretary of State for Air has participated in the construction
of a hangar and a slipway on the area coloured yellow on the said plan and has expended thereon
out of Imperial Funds the sum of Thirty four thousand and eighty seven pounds eleven shillings
and nine pence (£34,087-11-9 or $570,957.50 Hong Kong Currency) and is about to construct other
buildings of a similar nature.
AND BE IT ALSO REMEMBERED that in consideration of the premises the Governor of Hong Kong for and on
behalf of the Government of the said Colony DOTH hereby grant unto His Majesty's Secretary of
State for Air the exclusive use of that portion of the said Aerodrome which is coloured yellow
on the said plan for so long as the same shall be required for hangars slipways and other
buildings and purposes necessary for His Majesty's Air Force but for not longer than Ninety
nine years from the First day of July One thousand eught hundred and ninety eight less the
last three days thereof PROVIDED ALWAYS that if and when the said area coloured yellow shall
no longer be required for use by His Majesty's Air Force the rights and benefits of His Majesty's
Secretary of State for Air hereby granted or created shall be extinguished on such terms as may
be settled between His Majesty's Secretary of State for Air and the Government of the said
Colony.
AND BE IT ALSO REMEMBERED that those portions of the said Aerodrome which are coloured blue on the said
plan are reserved by the Colonial Government for its own exclusive use.
