With reference to your letter No. 543/35 of the
The War Office have not yet withdrawn their veto on the signing of the memoranda regarding Lots 5 and 6, and I do not think that any useful purpose would be served by
sending them an urgent reminder.
My own view, for what it is worth, is that the War Office are unlikely to make any further surrender of their rights or titles, and it is not clear to me why they should
be asked so to do.
