will serve any useful purpose. This good
lady does not explain what are the points
on which she is not satisfied by our formar
reply. We have already had this issue of
the "Slave arket ews and dealt with it

I would simply reply that the attention
of the S. of . has already been drawn to
this issue, that in so far as the statements
in it nave any foundation they are based on reports of conditions existing prior to 1929, in which year the Ordinance was
passed abolishing the system of mui tsai
in Hong Kong, and that he sees no reason
to change the views expressed in no. 5.
