The Hon. Inspector General of Police,
HONG KONG.
Sir,
With reference to our letter of 29th August
last and to your reply of 14th September, we now find that we have to ship this damaged Atlas to England as
it is impossible to repair same in Hong Kong.
We have the honour to request, therefore, that
the Home Government may be notified of this so that
the Aircraft, when repaired, may be reshipped to
Hong Kong without the necessity of a Huchao being
produced.
We also request that permission may be granted
for the removal of this Aircraft, fitted with Armament
Parts, from the Kai Tak Hangar to the M.V. "Glenshiel"
for shipment to England consigned to Messrs. Sir.W.G.
Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft Ltd., Coventry, and that this permit may be made operative for the dates 29th,
30th November and 1st December.
We have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your obedient servants,
THE FAR EAST AVIATION CO., LTD.
(sd.) A.V. Harvey.
Manager: Hong Kong & South China.
