The Government or the Crow Agents will provide
the Resident Engineer with a true copy of each
Agreement into which they may enter with the various
Assistants appointed in connection with the said works
and the Resident Engineer will be responsible for the
due performance of all such duties which may devolve
upon such Assistants and if in the opinion of the
Resident Engineer it is desirable to do so he may
suspend from duty any member of the staff pending
reference to the Government and the Engineers regard-
ing dismissal.
The Resident Engineer shall if required by the
Engineers so to do proceed to England at any time to
confer with the Engineers and during any such absence
from the works the Government will continue to pay
his salary and will provide him with a First Class
return passage together with reasonable expenses to
cover hás home charges on duty.
The Government will during the currency of this Agreement and at their expense provide the Resident
Engineer with office accommodation and also such
staff appliances stationery lighting and allowance
for transport et cetera as the Engineers may consider
necessary.
12.
In addition and without prejudice to the power of
dismissal contained in Clause 14 the Government shall
be at liberty to determine this Agreement on the
Government receiving due notice so to do from the
Engineers by giving the Resident Engineer six
calendar months' notice in writing or six months'
salary in lieu of notice at their option which sum
shall be received by him in full satisfaction of all
