replyir to certain official
letters rom us concern, in-r
aerial ropeway at the lilitary
agazine, Hong Kong. I am
sorry to have to trouble you
again, but there is another
matter also relating to Fong Kong
or which we have beer awaiting a
reply from the War Office for a
considerable time.
The matter in question con-

transfer to the Hong Fong Government of
the Fowloon Peak Military Reserve.
The position is that
War Office approved the terms of the
draft Agreement provided a condition is
inserted to meet the requirements of the
that
Air Ministry, but the Governor of Hong
Kong suggested that these requirements
should be the subject of separate negotiations
between Hong Kong and the Air Ministry.
We wrote officially to the War Office on
the 31st of May last, asking whether, in the
circumstances, the Army Council would agree
to withdraw the qualification of their
approval of the draft Agreement, but in
spite of repeated reminders we have not
yet obtained a reply.
muy
I should be grateful if you would be
so good as to have the matter looked into
with a view to expediting a reply to our
letters.
Yours very sincerely,
