With reference to our letter of the 24th February
regarding the securities deposited with us on account of
the note issue of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking
Corporation in Hong Kong and the Straits Settlements, I have
the honour to report for the information of the Secretary
of State, that we have released £100,000 New Zealand 6% 1936-
51 Stock certificates to the Bank and have received in
exchange £100,000 5% War Loan 1929-47 Bonds.
