Bank is prepared to accept liability for payment of
the charge of 5/- per ton handling charge on release
of the silver.
6. In view of the uncertainty of the present
financial situation it is not yet certain whether
this additional deposit will be required but in the
event of the Bank renewing its request to the Crown
Agents for the Colonies I see no option but to accept
liability, subject to such safeguards as may be
possible, for the storage charges and handling charges
on delivery.
A telegram to this effect of which a copy
is enclosed has been sent to the Crown Agents for the
Colonies accordingly.
